Large quantities of unlicensed medications have been taken by Department of Health authorities during a search of a home in Glengormley.

A guy was spoken with by department officers about illegally importing and consequently supplying unlicensed impotence medications via the internet.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offences.

He will now be the topic of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.

The search was brought out by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, stated: “It is vital that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medicines can be hazardous.

“These kinds of items being offered, generally online, have undergone no and there can be no guarantee about their safety.

“You simply do not know what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More notably, you do not know the result drugs like this might have on your health.”
